Over the past 10 years I've been committed to developing my knowledge and expertise in photography.  I'm experienced in shooting with both digital and analogue equipment and I've acquired years of hands on experience shooting commercially as a Freelance Photographer.  I believe my unique insight into photography will help new Photographers enhance their skills and provide the best possible foundations for the path to creating great photography work.

1 Hour - Introduction to Photography

This is the perfect Photography Course for anyone who is excited to learn more about their camera and wants to begin the path to a more creative approach to taking photos.  Open to all cameras with manual functions (Film & Digital).  The workshop will entail a mix of theory and practical, each topic is delivered in a relaxed, fun and jargon-free style.  Furthermore, The workshop will commence with a short Q&A where I will develop a good overview of the style of photography that interests you.  This will enable me to tailor the session to your creative requirements.

  • ISO
  • Composition
  • Tips and tricks related to the style of photography you enjoy

Suggested equipment / knowledge / location:

No previous knowledge of photography is required.  Film or digital cameras welcome.

The location of the workshop is flexible and arrangements can be made where sessions can take place at your home or where ever is geographically most convenient for you.  Skype workshops available, please enquire.

1 Day - Conquer your camera

This is the perfect Photography course if you're already feeling confident with basics of controlling your cameras exposure through shutter, aperture and ISO.  The 1 day workshop will entail a morning theory session where we will recap all the 'creative controls' of your camera and then guide you onto some more advanced settings.  We will also develop your understanding of post production techniques and editing software.  The afternoon will entail a practical element where we will go for a photography walk and put into practice most of what we covered during the morning theory session.  A fun worksheet will be issued for the practical session for you to work through and accomplish shooting original and engaging photography by utilising your new camera handling skills.  Hands-on guidance and feedback will be provided throughout the afternoon practical session.

This 1 day workshop is ideal for those with a basic understanding of camera handling and exposure control.  It's the perfect follow on workshop from the 1 hour workshop and will develop your skills to a more advanced level.   Film or digital cameras welcome.

It's no secret, I love film photography! So much so, that It's all I professionally shoot with. To date, every single paid commissioned shoot I have ever had, has been shot with film.  Now do you want to know the thing that ALL Photographers know but rarely tell you? When it comes to final results and originality, we all know that film is better than digital.

Now how about you start a path into professional photography and ...guess what...you will know how to shoot with film?

My 1 Day 'Master Film Photography' Workshop is your chance to benefit from my extensive knowledge of shooting with film. The workshop will entail a theory session in the morning where we will cover in detail everything you need to know to get started on the path to shooting exceptional film shots and not only that I will be giving you tips on camera's to purchase and the best film on the market. The afternoon workshop will be entirely practical where you will be given assignments and we will experiment with double exposures, light leaks, pushing the film and a variety of other creative techniques used by the Masters of Film down the ages. I will be on hand throughout the practical assignments to provide assistance and direction.

This 1 day workshop is ideal for those with a basic understanding of film photography, camera handling and exposure control. Film Rangefinder, SLR or Compact required.

35mm and 120mm film will be supplied.
